QR Code Generator

Turn a link or supported content into a static QR code. Choose the content type, generate the code and download it as PNG or SVG.

🔒 The QR code is generated on your device and its content is not sent to our servers.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose text, url, whatsapp, phone, email, sms or wifi.
  2. Complete the matching fields. Include the country code for phone numbers and a full URL for a link.
  3. Review size, colours, margin and error correction, then press Generate / refresh QR.
  4. Scan the code with a phone before downloading PNG for general use or SVG for scaling and print.

Choose the payload that matches the task

A URL code opens a page, while a WhatsApp code starts a conversation with an optional message. Text, phone, email, SMS and Wi-Fi payloads are also available, each with its own input fields.

Changing a field does not automatically regenerate an existing image. Press Generate / refresh QR again after editing, then test the updated code rather than only reviewing the text you entered.

Make the result easy to scan

Use clear contrast, such as a dark code on a light background, and keep a margin around the pattern. Very small dimensions or margins can make scanning unreliable, especially with long content. Error correction tolerates some damage but cannot compensate for unclear printing.

SVG scales as a vector, while PNG is a ready-to-share image. Test the printed code at its actual size before producing multiple copies.

Static content has no editable redirect

The information is encoded in the image itself. There is no tracking or redirect service that lets you change it from a dashboard. Generate a new code when a link or phone number changes. Creating a code does not guarantee that its destination will stay online.

When this tool is useful

  • Place a scannable link on a card or printed sheet.
  • Start a WhatsApp conversation without typing the number.
  • Share Wi-Fi connection details with chosen recipients.

Privacy and data processing

The browser generates the code locally without sending the entered payload to a generation server.

Anyone who can scan the code may read its contents. Share a Wi-Fi code containing a private password only with intended recipients. Opening a scanned link is governed by its destination site.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create a WhatsApp QR code?

Yes. Choose whatsapp, enter a number with its country code and add an optional message. Test the conversation the code opens before publishing.

Does it support Wi-Fi QR codes?

Yes. Choose wifi and enter the network name, security type and password where required. Connection behaviour after scanning may vary by phone.

Can I change the link after printing?

The code is static. Generate a new image whenever the encoded content changes.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG is a raster image ready for sharing. SVG scales as a vector. Test the code in its final placement whichever format you choose.

Can I see how many times it was scanned?

The current generator does not include scan analytics or tracking.

What to do next

If you have saved several PNG codes, combine the images into a PDF for review or sharing.

For a site that accepts WebP, use Image to WebP and recheck scanning after converting the image.
