Compress PDF Online

Try a smaller PDF without uploading your document. This tool optimizes the saved structure; already compressed files may show little or no reduction.

🔒 Your files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers

How to use this tool

  1. Select the PDF you want to optimize.
  2. Press Start processing to save it with an optimized structure.
  3. Open the result and compare its size with the original before choosing which copy to use.

What this PDF compressor changes

The tool rewrites PDF objects using an efficient saved structure where possible. There is no strong/medium/light compression selector, and images are not downsampled. It is a way to try structural optimization without deliberately lowering image resolution.

Image-heavy PDFs and already optimized documents may barely shrink, or the new file may be slightly larger. Judge the actual file size and keep your original until you have checked the result.

Working with an upload size limit

Compare the downloaded file with the limit on your upload form. ANJAZ does not guarantee a PDF under 1MB or any other target. If the result is still too large, review the source document or export settings instead of repeatedly processing the same optimized copy.

When this tool is useful

  • Try reducing an email attachment before sending it.
  • Optimize a PDF created with uncompressed document objects.
  • Compare an optimized copy before submitting an upload form.

Privacy and data processing

The browser reads your file and creates the output locally, without uploading file contents to a conversion server. An internet connection may be needed to load the processing library the first time.

Save the result before leaving the page and keep the original for comparison. Downloaded copies remain on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose a compression level?

No. The current tool automatically optimizes the saved structure and has no image-quality or compression-level selector.

Why did the file size stay the same?

The document may already be optimized, or images may account for most of its size. This tool does not reduce page-image resolution.

Can it make my PDF smaller than 1MB?

No final size is guaranteed. Compare both files and keep the original if the output is not an improvement.

Will compressing the result again help?

Running the same optimization again usually adds little once the structure has been optimized. Changing the source or export settings may be more effective.

What to do next

For several attachments, merge the PDFs first, then try optimizing the combined document.

For separate pictures, use Images to PDF and consider the source image sizes before creating the document.
