Discount Calculator

Enter the original price and discount rate to see the new price and your savings. The tool applies one percentage discount to the amount you enter.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter the original price in Value.
  2. Enter the discount percentage: use 10 for 10% or 20 for 20%.
  3. Press Calculate to see the discounted price and the saved amount in brackets.

Separate savings from the final price

Savings equal the original price multiplied by the rate and divided by 100. The calculator subtracts that amount from the starting price and displays both figures, so you can distinguish what you save from what you pay.

Use valid inputs for the offer you are checking. A normal price-reduction rate is between 0 and 100. The tool does not validate coupon eligibility or minimum-spend conditions.

Compare offers on the same basis

Shipping and additional taxes are not added unless they are already part of the price you enter. Compare offers using the same starting-price basis and account for other charges separately.

Successive discounts are not normally added together. Calculate the first reduction, then use its result as the starting price for the second when the offer applies that way. The interface performs one discount operation at a time.

Worked example

With an original price of 250 and a 20% discount, you save 50 and pay 200 in the same currency.

Privacy and data processing

Prices and rates are calculated in your browser without being sent to a processing server.

Prices and savings display two decimal places. Check actual charges and offer conditions before comparing with checkout totals.

Frequently asked questions

Do I enter a fixed currency amount as the discount?

No. The discount field is a percentage. Enter 20 for a 20% reduction.

Does the result include shipping and tax?

Only if they are already included in the amount entered. The tool does not add fees or taxes automatically.

Is 10% off followed by 20% off the same as 30% off?

No, when the second rate applies to the reduced price. Calculate the reductions sequentially according to the offer terms.

What does a zero discount do?

Enter 0 as the rate. The original price remains unchanged and savings are zero.
